Bienvenue!

I'm very excited to be teaching Grade 1 at École Doncaster Elementary. I have taught all grades in French Immersion from Kindergarten to Grade 6 as well as Learning Support, but early primary is definitely the best! My parents are from Portugal and came to Québec in the 1960s. I was raised in a small town outside of Montréal called Deux Montagnes in Mohawk territory, and lived and worked in Montréal for several years before coming to the West Coast. I have a BacheIor's degree in French from UBC, a Bachelor's of Education in French Immersion also from UBC, a Master's in Language and Literacy Education from UVic, and a Certificate in Special Education from UVic. I enjoy playing guitar, reading, running, drumming and hiking whenever I have time. I'm looking forward to a great year!

Our Class

I am pleased to say that we have a full class of 22 Grade 1 students. Bienvenue tout le monde!
